Interview with Spencer Howson on 4BC ... and another screening at New Farm

Last Saturday morning I had a radio interview with Spencer Howson on 4BC at the Ingenia Retirement Village in Burpengary to talk about Hero. The residents there were so lovely and offered me lots of encouragement, listening to this septuagenarian who had made her first feature film for next to no dollars. I was given a big applause and was really tickled pink by their kindness. Spencer is a lovely man and his producer Brooke was so courteous and efficient.

After the interview I was taken into their wonderful Gold Class cinema and it is so encouraging to know so many of us are still enjoying movies on the big screen. The management of the village have asked me if they could screen the movie there in their beautiful Gold Class cinema, and possibly screen it some of the other Ingenia Villages as well.

I would be more than delighted to take the film around to retirement villages and would be really be happy if any members of my cast and crew could offer to join me on some of these little events.

I have another interview on Sunday 10 December on Bridge FM and am hoping that we continue to benefit from this type of media coverage. My main aim is to build some interest that will hopefully lead to funding for my movie, Because of the War. It has always been my pet project and to see it finally come to life on the big screen would really be a dream come true.

Spencer Howson encouraged me to do another screening and announced it over air on the Saturday morning. I have organised this to take place at the Five Star Cinemas in New Farm on Thursday evening, December 14 at 7pm. There is no charge and we will be serving refreshments from 6pm.

I'd love to see you there.
